Who I am & What I do
I am an independent historian based in Philadelphia, with roots in Vermont. I received my doctorate from Princeton University in 2023, and was the 2023-2025 Patrick Henry Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of History at Johns Hopkins University.
My research and writing focus on war, colonialism, and race in Early America and the Atlantic World.

I have published in The William & Mary Quarterly and presented my work at academic conferences and public-facing venues.

Tutoring
I am a tutor with over five years experience working with students in college-level writing.
Consulting and editing
I offer services as a research assistant for writers and scholars in the fields of history, art history, and American Studies. I also provide manuscript editing for academics, and course-design consultation.
